Dora the Explorer and Diego Traveling Exhibit in Indiana and California

In February 2011 Dora and Diego-Let’s Explore began its 5 year international tour. Its first stop was the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis Indiana. Now the exhibit has returned to that museum and is also visiting the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, California. Both locations will have the exhibits for several months during the first part of this year: January 28^th through May 6, 2012.

It is no surprise that these exhibits would be widely popular with families. The exhibit includes fun and educational opportunities for children to explore. There are areas for the children to engage in interactive learning and play. Children can explore the rainforest and swing across monkey bars. You can play in several different themed areas based on character and locations on the “Dora the Explorer” and “Go! Diego Go!” television programs: Tico’s Nutty Forest, Isa’s Flowery Gardens, Purple Planet, Rainforest Maze, and The Pirate Piggies’ Ship.

Pillow Pets have become a household name. If you watch children programming you are bound to hear that catchy jingle for the commercials about theses stuffed characters that also function as pillows. Now you can find Pillow Pets in about every store. These Pillow Pets are no longer just cuddly animals, but they have also broadened the scope to include popular children characters and other figures.

Now kids can get Pillow Pets from popular show like Dora the Explorer. Dora Pillow Pets come in the standard size, and also the miniature size Pillow Pets. Children can find Pillow Pets in many other favorite characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Winnie the Pooh.

Currently, Go Diego Go Pillow Pets are not available, but I would not be surprised if some added soon.

Go,Diego, Go Voice Starts Music Career

Voice behind Go Diego Go’s Diego is now making its way to musical singles. Matt Hunter, who provided the voice of Diego, Dora the Explorer’s animal recuing cousin, from season 4 to season 5 of the show is now making his debut into the music industry. According to an article on Fox, Hunter describes his music as something without a Latin touch. He says that many people will likely compare him to popular male teen musician, Justin Bieber, but his music will have more of Latin touch.

Beautiful Dora the Explorer Round Cake for 3 Year-Old

Many times parent want inspiration when deciding to make a unique Dora the Explorer Cake. The maker of the Dora the Explorer cake below created the cake for a friend’s young daughter’s 3^rd birthday. Aesthetically, everything seemed to turn out perfectly.

Some parts of the cake are not edible, including the toy Dora the Explorer, Boots, and Swiper on the sides and top of the cake. These elements are Dora the Explorer cake toppers that can be purchased online or some traditional stores. There are other decorative items that were molded out edible food products.

Looking at this cake we can tell the creator is experienced, but those that are new to this should not beat themselves up about not being able to create a Dora the Explorer cake like this on the first try. This is something that can inspire new cake bakers and decorators.

Dora the Explorer Primetime Special Next Week

On March 14tha new Dora the Explorer television will air on Nickelodeon at 7 p.m. We get to see Dora try out some of her dancing skills in “Dora’s Ballet Adventure.” She gets to show off some of ballet moves. In this episode Dora and her best friend, Boots, must find her ballet slippers before her recital. The video “Dora’s Ballet Adventure” will be available in store with the primetime episode and some other Dora the Explorer episodes. This joins a slew of Dora the Explorer specials that have made their way to DVDs.

The traveling exhibit , Dora and Diego Let’s Explore, is now at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The exhibit debuted at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis on February 5^th and will remain there until August 14^th. The exhibit features some interactive fun with Dora and her cousin Diego.

Shakira has Authored a New Dora the Explorer Book

Latin musician Shakira has authored a new Dora the Explorer book called World School Day Adventure. In the book Dora and Boots go on an adventure to deliver school supplies to kids. Part of the proceeds from the book will go to Shakira’s Pies Descalzos Foundation. Pies Descalzos is the Columbian branch of The Bare Foot Foundation. Pies Descalzos Foundation’s main focus is on aid through education, and the organization has five schools across Colombia that provide education and meals for 4000 children.

Dora the Explorer Part of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Dora the Explorer has been as part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for years. Once again fans of Dora will get to see her in the parade with a new Christmas themed float.

Dora the Explorer is returning to the parade on a brand new float themed to the holiday special, Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure. Joining Dora will be three-time Grammy Award-winning artist India.Arie, who will perform the Emmy-nominated song, “Nochebuena.” The float will feature Dora and a 12-foot tall Christmas tree decorated with dazzling ornaments and very special gifts. Dora and her friends will showcase their most recent adventure, where they teach their friend Swiper the true spirit of the holidays.

Dora the Explorer Soon to Air in Kazakhstan and Afghanistan

Dora the Explorer is seen in many nations around the world and now, according to C21Media.net, it will be seen in two more nations soon. Dora the Explorer will soon be seen in Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. Previous seasons of Dora the Explorer will dubbed into some of the native languages of the countries.

Marco Arabit, MTVNI’s emerging markets sales executive, brokered the deals. As part of the agreements, Dora the Explorer will be dubbed into Kazakhi, Dari and Pashto for the first time, bringing the number of languages into which the programme has been dubbed to 31.

Former Dora Voice Actor Sues Nickelodeon

Caitlin Sanchez, the most recent voice of Dora the Explorer, is now suing nickelodeon. According to the lawsuit she claims that she was entered into an unfair contract with Nickelodeon. Caitlin was the voice of Dora since 2008, but was let go recently when her voice matured and did not have the young-child sound. Caitlin was the second person to do the Voice of Dora, before that it was voiced by Kathleen Herles.

According to the New York Daily News:

The suit charges Caitlin and her parents were pressured by Nickelodeon and her own agent – Jason Bercy of the Cunningham Escott Slevin Doherty Talent Agency – into signing a 14-page contract without the aid of a lawyer.

Bercy, who is not named as a defendant in the suit, gave the Sanchez family 22 minutes to review the contract, threatening that if they didn’t sign Nickelodeon would “pass on Caitlin for the part of Dora,” the suit claims.
