Nickelodeon is promoting their Beyond the Backpack program designed to getting kids ready for school. Backpacks designed by several different celebrities are being auctioned at http://www.charitybuzz.com/auctions/dora. The actual backpacks are on display in New York at Macy’s Herald Square. These backpacks have designed by Jessica Alba, Drew Brees, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, LeBron James, Heidi Klum, John Leguizamo, Eva Longoria Parker, Salma Hayek Pinault, Shakira, Slash, and Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves. Proceeds from the sale of the custom designed backpacks will go to the Children’s Defense Fund. The auctions of the backpacks run through September 3, 2010.
