A research was done on the educational impact of children’s videos, such as Dora the Explorer.
“There is good evidence from other research that watching shows such as Dora the Explorer and Blue’s Clues in which characters speak directly into the camera and wait for responses can positively impact children’s mental and language development,”

OTTAWA - Dora the Explorer sent the Buffalo Sabres home for the weekend and allowed Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson to have some bonus family time during the playoffs.
With Scotiabank Place unavailable throughout the weekend because of a series of concerts staged by a traveling production of the children’s TV show, both teams got an extra day off to regroup and prepare defensively for Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal Monday night.

SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer will each have their own model of the QuickSnap Flash 800 X-TRA, preloaded with Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 800 film and sporting a powerful, quick flash system and fine-tuned lens for clear, brilliant color pictures, indoors or out.
Taking full advantage of SpongeBob SquarePants’ aquatic theme, there will also be a SpongeBob version of the QuickSnap Waterproof 800 model, an all-weather One-Time-Use Camera that is waterproof to a depth of 35 feet.
The new QuickSnap SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer models will be available beginning in May 2006.

“Dora the Explorer, a character from the Nickelodeon TV series, will be at the Lake Square Mall on Sunday for two 22-minute shows in the mall’s food-court area.
Show times are 12:30 and 2 p.m.
The fun begins with a singalong and interactive games from children’s movies and television shows.
Participants also can enter to win Dora the Explorer merchandise, and participate in a special coloring and activity area.
